How to Watch Inside Man Online

Spike Lee’s latest film, Inside Man, is a thriller that goes beyond the typical crime caper. After an armed gang enters a Manhattan bank, a standoff ensues.

Police detective Jefferson Grieff (Denzel Washington) is assigned to negotiate the release of hostages. However, he quickly realizes that his case is more complicated than a simple kidnapping.

Created by Steven Moffat

Steven Moffat, the writer behind series like Sherlock and Doctor Who, is a renowned talent who has made some great TV. His latest is inside man, a four-part crime drama.

It stars Stanley Tucci as Jefferson Grieff, an American death row prisoner with a sideline in detective work. He's assigned a case every week to solve before his very literal execution date.

The case is a good one, at least on the surface. But inside the story, it's a lot more of a thought experiment than anything else.

After all, what makes a good crime-solving hero? Whether that's the edgy neo-NCIS/Ghost Whisperer model or something more akin to Only Murders In The Building is entirely up to Moffat.

Moffat's scripting and pacy direction are solid enough, but the show falls short of what it could be. It's a shame, because the cast is strong. David Tennant's vicar Harry Watling is a compelling presence, and Louis Oliver does well in the role of Ben, who has a cocky attitude early on but then becomes more panicked as things get darker.

Starring David Tennant

Tennant is best known for his role as the tenth Doctor in Doctor Who, but has also appeared in several other popular films and TV shows. He is currently starring in Inside Man, a new series that recently premiered on Netflix and has quickly climbed the streaming charts to become the #1 series.

It's a devilish drama from Steven Moffat, the BAFTA and Emmy award-winning writer of Sherlock, Doctor Who and Dracula. It sees four characters' lives crossing paths in a truly unimaginable way.

David Tennant stars as Harry Watling, a modern vicar living in a picturesque English village. The vicar's life is turned upside down when he becomes involved in a murder.

Stanley Tucci stars as Jefferson Grieff, a former criminology professor on Death Row in an Arizona prison. He strangled his wife and cut off her head.

The two men share the screen for all four episodes, but despite having an impressive range of chemistry, it is impossible to believe they will ever meet again.

The premise of a good person being caught up in a crime is nothing new, but the way it's handled in Inside Man is simply too absurd. At times, it feels like the story is more about thought experiment than narrative.

Directed by Paul McGuigan

If you are looking for a crime drama that is perfect for a quick watch, Inside Man is the show for you. The four-episode series is available to stream on Netflix worldwide.

This is a crime and thriller show that has a great cast including David Tennant, Stanley Tucci, Dolly Wells, Lydia West and Kate Dickie. It is directed by Paul McGuigan, who also helmed episodes of Sherlock, Dracula and other classics.

The plot follows a prisoner on death row in the US who is allowed to run a detective agency while he waits for his execution. However, things don't go according to plan.

A vicar in a quaint English village, a journalist and a maths teacher are also involved. Their lives all cross paths in a strange way that ends up with murder and mystery.

Despite its strong cast and pacy directing, Inside Man falls short of its potential in a central narrative premise that's so overblown it can't be fixed on an essential level. Even the flashes of brilliance from writer Steven Moffat can't save this from being a waste of time.

Written by Steven Moffat

Moffat, a BAFTA and Emmy award-winning writer, is known for his ability to create drama and thrills. He has written numerous Doctor Who stories, as well as a number of episodes of Sherlock.

Moffat's first television work was the teen drama series Press Gang (BBC2, 1989-93). He followed this up with sitcom Joking Apart (1993-95), which combined hyper-plotted farce and painful emotional honesty.

The cynical, adult antidote to Friends that was Coupling (BBC2, 2000-04) established him as a serious talent. The elaborate sex comedy roamed the battlefields of the sex wars, distinguishing itself with sophisticated plotting and supremely filthy wit.

In his Doctor Who and Sherlock scripts, Moffat occasionally references Florida. In "The Big Bang", the Doctor and Amy visit Space Florida, and in "Day of the Moon" they visit Cape Kennedy.

When writing for other genres, Moffat often incorporates time travel into his plots. He has also incorporated several Doctor Who references into his scripts, including "The Empty Child" and "Blink" - which both won Hugo Awards.

Inside Man is another brilliant piece from Steven Moffat, a writer who always delivers drama and thrills. David Tennant, Stanley Tucci and Dolly Wells star as four people who cross paths in unexpected ways.

Starring Dolly Wells

The BBC's buzzy new thriller hit Netflix this month, and it's available to watch now. It features an American death row prisoner, a young British journalist, and a small-town Vicar in an exciting dark mystery that's bound to keep you on the edge of your seat.

There's plenty of star power in this drama, with David Tennant as Harry Watling, a vicar who does anything to protect his family. He's a hard-working man who's committed to serving his community, but what's more, he's got a pretty serious secret that could get him killed -- and he doesn't know it yet.

Dolly Wells, who worked with Steven Moffat on Dracula, co-stars as Janice Fife, a maths tutor for Harry's son Ben. She's a smart, resourceful character that will quickly catch the attention of detective Jefferson Grieff (Stanley Tucci).

In addition to Wells and West, Louis Oliver, who plays Ben, is an IMDb-certified actor who has appeared in Midnight Mass and the Season 3 finale of Sherlock. He also has a few recurring roles in various movies and shows, including The Walking Dead.

Starring Lydia West

In Inside Man, a new crime drama from Steven Moffat, a vicar (David Tennant), a maths tutor (Dolly Wells) and a murderer on death row in the US (Stanley Tucci) all cross paths. It's an unlikely connection, but one that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you watch the series.

Starring Stanley Tucci, David Tennant and Lydia West, Inside Man will be a harrowing thriller that explores the nature of truth and trust, revealing how the tiniest of details can turn deadly. The first episode airs on BBC One tomorrow night at 9 pm.

The plot hinges on the tenuous relationship between Beth Davenport, an investigative journalist, and Jefferson Grieff, a prickly prisoner with a sideline in solving mysteries. They meet after a misunderstanding puts the local vicar in danger, and they are forced to work together.

A heist film by any other name would be just as entertaining, but Inside Man rises above its genre to present an intelligent, smart crime thriller that is more than a heist story. It's also a story about a bank robber who takes his crimes to heart, a slick detective who sees through the deceptions of both the criminal and the hostage negotiator and the complex relationships among the high- and low-level wheeler-dealers that ebb and flow through its pages.

Starring Kate Dickie

Kate Dickie has an impressive list of TV and film credits, including Game of Thrones. She’s likely to be remembered for her roles as Lysa Arryn in the series and Agnes in The Pillars of the Earth, but she’s also a talented actress in her own right, having appeared in Red Road and Couple in a Hole.

The latest drama from the brain of Steven Moffat, Inside Man is a four-part thriller that follows a prisoner on death row in America (Stanley Tucci) and a vicar in a quiet English village. The series promises to follow the lives of each character as they cross paths in the most unexpected way.

In Inside Man, Tucci plays Jefferson Grieff, a criminologist on death row who’s given the opportunity to run a rudimentary detective agency while awaiting his execution. As well as solving cases from the inside, Grieff also helps solve a few from the outside, too.

As a result, Grieff becomes involved in a number of different crimes and relationships. He also becomes enthralled with the life of a woman named Janice Fife, a maths teacher who’s trapped in her church’s basement.

Dolly Wells plays Janice Fife, and is one of the most captivating characters I’ve seen on TV in a long time. She’s so incredibly strong and believable, I could watch an entire series just about her.
